A graphic artist born in 1988 in Kursk. Darya Dubrovskaya completed an art school in Severodvinsk in 2005 and graduated in graphic design from Fine Art department of the Kursk State University.
The artist grew up in a little northern town on a shore of the White Sea. She was surrounded by its ascetic, silent and sometimes harsh nature. Her love for simple laconic forms and minimalistic restrained colour palette is reflected in her artworks. Simplicity and minimalism make the base for communication with spectators. Natural and floral motives and landscapes are the main focus of the artist’s work.
Darya is currently working with painting and drawing and experiments with various hand printmaking techniques. In her artwork she uses oil and acrylic paints, oil pastel and coloured pencils.
